One among the very few successful suspense thrillers in Telugu. No other movie in this genre was so gripping and entertaining at the same time. Can be considered a bold step by a relatively new director. Mind you, Anveshana is only Vamsy's third movie. When compared with his earlier ventures, this one proves Vamsy's versatility as a director. And ever since there always was an element of suspense in all of Vamsy's movies with very few exceptions. 

Credit for the movie's success also goes to Ilayaraja for the oustanding tunes and excellent background score.
