Sri's write-up on the movie

Story : Paadi subbamma’s (Nirmalamma) grand daughter Sita (Madhuri ) loves Gopalam (naresh). Gopalam is a record dance member who acts as junior Krishna in Kanakamahalxmi dance troop run by Papa Rao (Kota). Sita joins the troop to move close with Gopalam. Dorababu (Bharani) who is a troop financier falls in love with Sita. Abbulu (Mallikarjuna rao) is the adviser to Dorababu. Gopalam is brought up by bheema raju and bheemaraju is having plans to give his daughter to Gopalam .

Meanwhile Gopalam falls in love with Sita. He ties the manglasutram when she is in sleep. Sita accepts it. But she informs Gopalam to not to touch her unless he publicly declares her as a wife.

Dorababu asks Papa Rao to approach Subbama for the marriage talks with sita. Sita informs her marrage with Gopalam with Subbamma. Subbamma refuses to accept the marriage as Gopalam is a pauper. Sita tries to runaway with Gopalam . But get caught in the process. Subamma arranges the marriage of sita with Dorababu. Dorababu overheards the plan of Paparao and also got to know about the secret marriage of sita with gopalam and unites the lovers. 

Songs : siggEstOndaa (on Junior ANR and Madhuri) (rambabu dreams in between. Some shots were seen the in the gramophone record with sita and rambabu on it).

Sri Illayaraja completely changed the background music.

Characters :
Gopalam (Naresh) : losses his parents and brought up by his uncle who thinks of giving his daughter to Gopalam, Gopalam loves sita and marries secretly. Informs his love to sita to his uncle, and finally gets sita after bashing up Paparao.

Sita (Madhuri): She loves Gopalam and accepts his Tali. She informs her nanamma about her love. But when she refuses , she tries to run away with Gopalam and get caught. And get his man in the finally.

Paadi Subamma (nirmallama) : Tries to give her grand daughter to the higher family , but realizes the plan of paparao and finally agrees for the marriage of Gopalam and Sita.

Dora Babu : (Tanikella Bharani) Tries all the ways to get Sita. But when he knows that she is already married he helps the couple unite.

PapaRao (Kota) : Womanizer, Villain,

AnanthaLaxmi (Y.Vijaya ) Paparao's girlfriend.  Opposes Paparao when she gets to know that he is after sita. And helps gopalam in the end.

Gavaraju (bheema Raju) : Brought up Gopalam. Plans to give his daughter to Gopalam. Finally agrees to the marriage of Sita and Gopalam.

Abbulu (Mallikarjuna Rao ): He is the advisor for Dorababu. Makes all plans to eliminate the competition from Gopalam for Dorababu. His mannerism includes ‘Friendship to cheputunaanu’

Pattu Parikini (sandhya) : she is a dancer in the troop. Marries her mamayya Celone Sundaram (Rallapalli). Her mannerism is ‘Hook pettava’ and ‘ Maa celone sundaram maamayya emanadante’

Celone sundaram (Rallapalli): Tells all make believes stories of tollywood. Says he knows all the people in Tollywood
